:-) Your comment made me smile, Tricia. You may be right, poetry is often closer than I think.

I absolutely adore your newsletter. I also reach for poetry when I need clarity, and you so effortlessly link it to really amazing thoughts around belonging. I'm going to be quoting you all over the place!

This is beautiful, Sherri, and says the difficult things with such clarity. I'm passing it along to a lot of people. Also, I had no idea there was an Othering and Belonging Institute and now want to know everything about their work!

Thank you so much, Nia. I had the privilege of hearing john powell speak at the People of Color Conference a few years ago and his message gave me pause. Even as someone who traffics in words and wording, I sometimes struggle to make sure that I'm using the correct terminology in the DEIJ sphere. It's always helpful to have meaningful sources to learn from.

Thank you for guiding us through your thinking. I appreciate your point of view and recommended readings and videos. I look forward to digging in! I believe belonging is a powerful lever that can help us create spaces that welcome and empower a diversity of voices and perspectives to improve not only how we work together, but the outcomes of our collaboration.
